I think any uncle or aunty who took btech/ engineering courses other than computer science or IT. Esp the ones who came for MS after 2010 are struggling with Visa issues. Mech/ Civil (EEE/ECE sometimes) uncles kasta padi programming/ Networking/ DBs nerchukunna, education background kinda too many queries lol. Core field lo money thakkuva to meet h1 wage demands. Ento valla kastaalu. 😐

Hard to find jobs ani vinna. Salaries also not high like IT. May be 80-90k if you are senior level. H1B ki aa salaries tho too much queries. All of them move to IT to escape the wage level query only to be hit with the education query.

Education query for non IT btech/MS people.  Happens a lot on H1. They move to IT for higher pay, but their education doesn’t match the work. If they don’t move, in order to maintain h1, they need to be at high enough wage level. In core fields it is not easy to get high paying jobs.

I am talking about ms in ece/eee/civil/mech. They are not qualified for these jobs mostly esp at 23 years of age.

Yeah that is speciality occupation query no? As soon as they see project manager and manager on the role, they check for education and exp credentials. They are also biased against immigrant managers here. They have enough American managers and they don’t need more people. They need people in technical fields and nothing more. At least the current H1b Approval trend is suggesting that.

Like I said the struggle for those fields is much greater. You have to get a PHD to be considered useful. IT side an MS in semi erupted college will do.
