LOS ANGELES (KKTV) - At least seven people were hurt after a gunman opened fire at a Los Angeles-area high school Thursday morning.

CBS LA says the shooting happened just before 7:45 a.m. Pacific time at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita. The ages and conditions of the injured are unknown. It's also unclear how many of the injured were shot.

The gunman is described as an Asian man wearing black clothing. His whereabouts are unknown.

CBS LA reports classes had not started yet, so the school was not full.

This is a developing story and we will update as we learn more.
