Donald Trump takes fight to keep his tax returns private to the Supreme Court

The president filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court asking for a subpoena for his tax returns to be blocked. In a 179-page appeal brief, Trump’s team argued that "he is absolutely immune from all stages of state criminal process while in office.” This comes after the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit upheld a district court ruling on Wednesday granting Congress access to President Donald Trump's tax records.
