US Senate unanimously passes bill backing Hong Kong protesters

The Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act warns China against using violence to quell protests and would also require annual reviews of the city's special status under US law. A separate bill was also passed that bans the export of certain munitions to the Hong Kong police.
