Pro-democracy bloc score ‘landslide’ win in Hong Kong local elections

Pro-democracy candidates now have control of 17 out of 18 district councils in the city’s local elections, according to South China Morning Post. Following nearly six months of violent unrest, Hongkongers voted on Sunday in the elections, which gauged the support for the anti-government protest movement and pro-Beijing Chief Executive Carrie Lam.
