do research on how stock market works..select some sectors or industries you like/ think will grow in future...reputed/growing companies in them

examples...car industry..companies like Tesla might disrupt the existing cars or you think Ford will start making better Electric cars and will capture the market..

In electronics..apple will continue to dominate cell phones or some other company might become the leader
