WASHINGTON: The US economy grew faster than originally reported in the July-September period, expanding at a 2.1 percent annual rate, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday.

Higher exports and residential investment helped boost the growth estimate from the 1.9 percent originally reported last month, according to the more complete data on the third quarter.

Economist had predicted no revision to the GDP result.

Interest rates low unnanta varaku US economy will not slow down.. Interest rates are at 3.5% now. Home buying is in full speed..

When interest rates are low, it allows people to borrow. However, it can create liquidity crunch if the interest rates are too low or low for long periods of time. Banks lo deposit chese vallu thakkuva ayipotharu instead the money will go into stocks. Even companies see the returns in stocks and invest there instead of employment creating investments. Contractors perugutharu and FT ni lay-off chese chances ekkuva. Long term lo it will create inflation too.

2.1 percent on a country with percapits gdp of 62000 dollars. That means on average each American produced almost 1200 dollars more this year over last . You know how much India added over last year some 40 dollars ? And India blamed worldwide recesssion. Most Indian have no clue what they talk about . China added nearly 2000 dollars by the way.
