Coming to Shiv Sena, they are in power now. Udhdhav thackare is 60. Can survive more than two election campaigns easily. A lot of voters in MH who voted for BJP are shiv sena voters only. The ppl of MH never had an affinity with BJP. They can’t even identify with them. 

100 percent correct. There was a time when lot of linguistic state leaders ranging from Thakre to chandrababu were genuinely attracted to bjp and rss thinking they are something compared to disgusting congress. But they realized it is worst. The regional leaders had enough the population will soon follow.

The only areas bjp really belongs to with its Hindi hindu baapan ( and allied) is uttarakhand, maybe himachal and to some extent rajasthan and madhya pradesh. Even Gujarat is linguistic and modi ran on gujrati asmita. Once modi is gone gujarat may also go away. Up and Bihar have strong local parties. Everywhere else just local parties.
