Four arrested for Hyderabad's vet's murder, she was gangraped confirm cops

Four men have been arrested by the Cyberabad police on Friday, for allegedly raping and killing a 26-year-old veterinary doctor on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Thursday. The arrests come a day after Madhuri (name changed) was found dead in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) underpass in Chatanpally village under Shadnagar police limits. The police in a press conference on Friday evening disclosed the details of the four arrested men.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Areef (26), Jollu Shiva (20), Jollu Naveen (20) and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu (20). All four men are natives of Narayanpet district.

According to the police, the accused noticed the victim parking her bike at Shamshabad toll plaza around 6 pm on Wednesday. The four consumed alcohol and hatched a plan to rape the victim. As per plan, Naveen deflated the scooter tyre. When the victim returned to pick up her vehicle, Areef got down from his lorry and informed her that the vehicle had a puncture.

Offering help, Shiva took the bike to get it repaired. Meanwhile, Areef, Naveen and Chennakeshavulu forcibly took the victim into an abandoned room near the toll plaza, and raped the victim.

While the men raped the victim, Areef allegedly put his hand over her mouth, suffocating her. Following the murder, two of the accused drove away with the body in the lorry, while the other two drove around in the victim’s bike to different petrol bunks, collecting petrol in loose bottles, the police statement said. The accused then burned the victim’s body in the underpass.

Among the four accused, Cyberabad Commissioner V Sajjanar said that Areef has been identified as the prime accused. Police registered a case under 376 (punishment for rape), 302 (punishment for murder) and sections of Nirbhaya Act.

Speaking about the arrest, the Commissioner said, “We were able to nab the four accused quickly because of intelligence inputs.” He added that the clues from the crime scene and CCTV helped in promptly cracking the case.

After the crime came to light, police had formed 10 teams to nab the accused.

On Wednesday, Madhuri had to visit a clinic in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. She took her two-wheeler, parked it at Shamshabad toll gate and then hired a cab to Gachibowli. She returned to Shamshabad to pick her bike around 9 pm. However, she found that the bike’s rear tyre was deflated.  At 9.22 pm, Madhuri called her sister, telling her that she was scared and asked her to keep speaking to her.

In the phone conversation, she told her sister that the lorry drivers in the vicinity volunteered to help fix her bike, despite her refusing. “I am very scared about them. I feel like crying. I don't feel like standing here. You please keep talking until my bike comes back. They (lorry drivers) are all waiting outside. You please keep talking to me, I am scared,” she said.

Madhuri’s sister, Ramya (name changed) called her back at 9.44 pm, and realised that her phone was switched off. She assumed that her sister’s phone must have run out of power. The family later went to Shamshabad toll booth, but couldn’t find her. After conducting searches, they approached Shamshabad police, and a missing complaint was registered at 3 am.

At 7 am, Shadnagar police received information about a burnt dead body in the underpass, in Chatanpally. After going through the list of missing persons, police identified Madhuri.

How the four accused in brutal gangrape and murder of Hyderabad vet were nabbed

Even before she could return to pick up her bike from near the Tondupally toll gate in Shamshabad on Wednesday, her rape had already been planned.

After a 26-year-old veterinary doctor’s body was found burnt to death on Thursday, the Cyberabad police, on Friday, arrested four men for allegedly raping and killing her on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Areef (26), Jollu Shiva (20), Jollu Naveen (20) and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu (20). All four men are natives of Narayanpet district.

Cyberabad Commissioner V Sajjanar said that the Cyberabad police, Shadnagar police and Shamshabad police worked together to crack the case of the brutal rape and murder within 48 hours.

With the help of clues at the scene of crime, tracking CCTV cameras along the route taken by the accused, eyewitnesses and based on human intelligence, the police say they nabbed the four accused, who were then taken into custody at Shadnagar police station

According to the police, Mohammad Areef, a lorry driver and the prime accused, was supposed to make a delivery of load in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Since the receiver wasn’t reachable, he, along with his cleaner Jollu Siva and the other two accomplices Naveen and Chennakeshavulu parked the lorry near Tondupally toll gate, Shamshabad, which is in the outskirts of Hyderabad.

On Wednesday, around 6pm, the four of them saw Madhuri (name changed) park her vehicle and leave and then hatched a plan against her. The four accused, the police say, were consuming alcohol at the time.

As per their plan, Naveen deflated Madhuri’s scooty tyre and waited for her to return. When Madhuri returned from Gachibowli at 9.15 pm to pick up her vehicle and leave, Areef got off the lorry, went up to her, showed her that the tyre was ‘punctured’ and offered to get it repaired. He then sent the cleaner Shiva to repair the vehicle.

This is around the time Madhuri called her sister Ramya (name changed), where she told her sister that a lorry driver offered to fix the flat tyre and sent the cleaner to repair it. The phone call, a recording of which, was widely circulated on Thursday, shows Madhuri telling Ramya that she was really scared.

Within 15 minutes of the conversation between Madhuri and Ramya, around 9.40 pm Madhuri’s phone was turned off. Areef, Naveen and Chennakeshavulu then forcibly took her to a compound that was closeby and raped her, say the police.

Madhuri was then gang-raped by all four of them, during which Areef forcibly closed her mouth and nose, causing her death.

After this, Areef and Chennakeshavulu put her body in the lorry cabin, wrapped in a blanket.

According to the police investigation, the lorry moved from there again at 10.08 pm, which is when they say the body was put in the lorry.

At 10.28 pm, the scooty first moved, ridden by Siva and Naveen and subsequently the lorry moved at 10.33 pm and proceeded towards Shadnagar.

At around 1am, the accused stopped at SR Petrol pump near Nandigam to buy petrol, but the petrol pump didn’t sell them petrol out of suspicion. Petrol was then bought from an Indian Oil fuel station near Kothur.

The four accused also took some diesel in a bottle from their lorry. People working at these pumps, who saw the accused are likely to be crucial witnesses in the case.

They then they took a u-turn near Shadnagar crossroads and stopped on the road above the underpass. Parking the lorry there, they covered the body in a blanket and carried it to the underpass and set it on fire. According to the police, this was done around 2-2 30am.

They then left the crime scene, disposed the scooty near Kothur and from there, went to the Aramghar junction and parted ways. Areef proceeded in the lorry to deliver his load in the city.

Police have registered a case under 376 (punishment for rape), 302 (punishment for murder) and sections of Nirbhaya Act.

ప్రజలు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ లోపలికి వెళ్లేందుకు ప్రయత్నం చేయగా.. పోలీసులు వారిని బయటకు పంపించారు.  షాద్ నగర్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ వద్ద పోలీసులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున మోహరించారు.  నలుగురు నిందితులకు వైద్యపరీక్షలు నిర్వహించారు.  అనంతరం అక్కడి నుంచి మహబూబ్ నగర్ ఫాస్ట్ ట్రాక్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ కు తరలించబోతున్నారు.  అయితే, లాయర్లు ఎవరూ కూడా నిందితులకు సహాయం చేయకూడదని మహబూబ్ నగర్ బార్ అసోసియేషన్ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. నిందితులకు కఠినంగా శిక్షపడే విధంగా న్యాయపోరాటం చేస్తామని లాయర్లు ఈ సందర్భంగా నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు.

ప్రియాంక రెడ్డి హత్య, అత్యాచారం కేసును పోలీసులు 48 గంటల్లోనే ఛేదించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందనే.  లారీ డ్రైవర్లు, క్లినర్లు ఈ అత్యాచారానికి పాల్పడినట్టు పోలీసులు గుర్తించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే.  ఈ కేసులో సిసి టీవీలు ఆధారంగా చేసుకొని ఛేదించారు.  నలుగురు నిందితులను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్న పోలీసులు తమదైన శైలిలో విచారణ చేయడంతో అనేక దారుణమైన నిజాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చాయి.  

నిందితులు 9:30 గంటల ప్రాంతంలో ప్రియాంక రెడ్డిని అపహరించి నిర్మానుష్య ప్రాంతానికి లాక్కెళ్లారు.  ఆ తరువాత ఆమె నోరు మూసి అత్యచారం చేశారు.  ఆమె హెల్ప్ హెల్ప్ అని అరుస్తుండటంతో ఆమెను బలవంతంగా మద్యం తాగించారు. దీంతో ప్రియాంక రెడ్డి అపస్మారక స్థితిలోకి వెళ్ళింది.  ముక్కు, నోరు గట్టిగా మూయడంతో ఆమె మరణించింది.  అక్కడి నుంచి ప్రియాంక రెడ్డి మృతదేహాన్ని క్యాబిన్ లో వేసుకొని పలుమార్లు మృతదేహంపై అత్యచారం చేశారట. ఆ తరువాత ఆమెను నిర్మానుష్య ప్రాంతానికి తీసుకెళ్లి పెట్రోల్ పోసి తగలబెట్టారు.  పోలీసుల విచారణలో తెలిసిన ఈ నిజాలు వింటుంటేనే భయానకంగా ఉన్నాయి. ప్రియాంక రెడ్డి ఈ బాధను ఎలా భరించిందో తలచుకుంటేనే భయం వేస్తోంది.  ఈ కేసులులో అరెస్ట్ చేసిన నలుగురు నిందితులను ఈరోజు మహబూబ్ నగర్ ఫాస్ట్ ట్రాక్ కోర్టులో ప్రవేశపెట్టబోతున్నారు.

హైదరాబాద్‌ : దేశ వ్యాప్తంగా సంచలనం సృష్టించిన డాక్టర్‌ ప్రియాంకారెడ్డి హత్య కేసులో కొత్త విషయాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చాయి. ఆమెపై నలుగురు కాకుండా ఐదుగురు దుండగులు సామూహిక అత్యాచారానికి పాల్పడి, హత్య చేసినట్లుగా అనుమానాలు వ్యక్తం అవుతున్నాయి. ఇప్పటికే నలుగురు నిందితులను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్న పోలీసులు.. విచారణలో ఐదో వ్యక్తి ఉన్నట్లు నిర్ధారణకు వచ్చారు. పరారీలో ఉన్న ఐదో నిందితుడు నారాయణపేట జిల్లా పొర్లకు చెందిన యువకుడిగా గుర్తించినట్లు సమాచారం. నిందితుడి కోసం పోలీసులు రెండు బృందాలుగా ఏర్పడి గాలిస్తున్నారు. 

 

మహబూబ్‌నగర్‌ జిల్లా నవాబ్‌పేట మండలం కొల్లూరులోని ప్రభుత్వ పశు వైద్యశాలలో వైద్యురాలిగా పనిచేస్తున్న ప్రియాంకారెడ్డిని బుధవారం రాత్రి షాద్‌నగర్‌ హైవేలో దారుణ హత్యకు గురైన విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఇప్పటికే ఈ కేసుకు సంబంధించిన నలుగురు నిందితులు.. ఏ–1 మహమ్మద్‌ ఆరిఫ్‌ (26), ఏ–2 జొల్లు శివ (20), ఏ–3 జొల్లు నవీన్‌ (20), ఏ–4 చింతకుంట చెన్నకేశవులు (20)లను పోలీసులు అదుపులోకి తీసుకొని షాద్‌నగర్‌ పీఎస్‌కు తరలించారు. శుక్రవారం రాత్రంతా నిందితులను విచారించారు. ఈరోజు(శనివారం) కోర్టులో ప్రవేశపెట్టి కస‍్టడీకి కోరనున్నారు.
