911 lo if you call and cut the phone, the police will trace you out. They will also send someone out. Ila flow lo maatladuthundi anodhdu when she is speaking the reality. 100 will never trace you out. They take a long time to take your details and then they will inform other police station to call you. That doesn’t happen with 911. Know the difference. G noppi prajalu kaadu - adigina pani cheyani police/govt ku, vallanu venakesukochche janalaku.

finding ones location using a phone is a common technique every police command center employs. even today 911 doesn't use know your exact location based on the call and the only way it knows is from your address given on the telephone line or approx location based on cell towers and now both Android and IOS have in-built distress signaling into the OS which gives out the coordinates.

here is an excerpt.

911 has a hard time finding exact locations on cellphone calls, because of outdated technology. The system used to locate cellphone calls is 20 years old, designed long before smart phones or GPS

What 911 scroes over the 100 is their integrated model and 24 hours nation wide call center. Their internal communication and radio system is par excellent.

That information is old.

"When you call 911, your phone knows you're calling 911, your phone knows the location, and it can then send that to our 911 call-taker," said Bob Finney, director of communications for the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

nuvvu cheppina news 2021 ki mandated.

As 2021 deadline gets closer, tech companies and carriers are getting involved to fix the issue. One software platform, RapidSOS is looking to solve the horizontal problem. When someone calls 911 on their cell phone, RapidSOS’ location information from partners like Uber and Microsoft and phone operating systems that Google and Apple run is funneled through RapidSOS and onto 911 dispatchers’ screens. The app can update the caller’s information when the phones pass by Wi-Fi hotspots, which makes the information more accurate. Dispatchers can then look at two screens—one containing RapidSOS and the other with the original system.

You are also not seeing that it is a two step process with 100 where as it is not the case with 911. Everyone behaved like 100 was like 911 when it is clearly not. 100 ki call chesunte save ayithunde anedhi too much. 100 vaadithe rescue ayipotharu annattu behave chesthunnaru.

lol..this is more of IOS and Android feature than 911. Because indian governments doesn't have so much leverage over these companies they are trying a different route of an App called Hawkeye.

how do you think 911 identifies the plethora of users on old smartphones and/or feature phones. There is no tech on 911 side to magically identify your pin point location unless your are using a phone with recent OS updates.

It is 98.5% of the market. Using an app is okay but 911 still doesn’t have a two step process like 100. You were saying that 100   Was the best thing since sliced bread when in fact it is a 2 step process and no where near 911.

I don't understand why vehicles can't be equipped with GPS features like vehicle condition, location service, distress messaging etc... even after so much advance in development
