US threatens tariffs on French goods over digital services tax

In a new report, the United States Trade Representative proposed tariffs of up to 100% on $2.4 billion of French imports, including wine, cheese, handbags and makeup products. The decision comes after the government agency concluded that France's digital tax unfairly discriminates against large US tech companies.
