They were already drunk. Poor girl didn't know how to react fast, should have left the place quick. Her sister was also very casual on the phone. They didn't know how cruel the society could be. Kool_SRG
16 hours ago, hyperbole said: how police cracked the case. Based on the information given by the victim’s younger sister initially that some unknown persons had approached the doctor to help her get the flat tyre repaired, the Cyberabad police first started the investigation by searching for a tyre mechanic, who they found in the vicinity of the toll plaza. On questioning, the mechanic confirmed to police that a man came to him with a red Mastero bike and got air filled into the deflated tyre. “The eyewitness gave a crucial clue by saying the accused came to him by bringing the vehicle in the wrong direction. This made us verify that stretch, wherein we found CCTVs at a factory. When it was analysed, we found two accused with the scooter. In another footage, a truck (was seen) parked on the road for a very long time, but we could not identify the registration number of the vehicle since that area was dark,’’ sources in Telangana police told TOI. When police played back the footage of earlier hours, they found the truck reached the toll plaza six or seven hours before the incident and parked it on the road. That snapshot helped police get the registration number, through which they contacted lorry owner Srinivas Reddy, who owns a fleet of 15 trucks. When the truck owner was shown the visual to identify the accused with scooter (accused Shiva), he claimed he did not know him, but shared the information that his lorry was in possession of his driver Mohammed Areef. Meanwhile, other police teams, who were working on the inputs to know from which petrol bunk the accused might have bought petrol and diesel, found a CCTV footage at a fuel station in Kothur where they were seen buying fuel in a bottle. The footage was of the same culprit who had gone to the tyre mechanic. The remand report in the case stated that Lingaram Praveen Goud, a worker at the petrol pump from where the accused allegedly went to buy petrol, helped the police crack the case. It said on hearing about the rape on TV, he dialled the emergency response number (100) and told the police that he would be able to help in identifying the accused. “He informed the police that two of the accused came on a red scooter and asked for petrol in plastic bottles. He immediately turned them down as he felt suspicious about it. This testimony from Praveen helped the police arrange all the events, crack the case and reach the accused,” the media reported. Based on the mobile phone tower location and information given by the truck owner, police first nabbed Areef and later, based on the information given by him, the other three accused were caught.
