Siachen Glacier.

Things we should know about the unforgiving Siachen Glacier and the life of Indian soldiers who are defending the world's highest battlefield to save their motherland.

  1. In the last 30 years, 846 soldiers have sacrificed their lives at Siachen due to extreme climate and hostile terrain conditions and enemy firing. India, has about 10,000 soldiers camped on this glacier, say reports.
  2. The Indian and Pakistani armies have been fighting a "No-Win" war on the 20,000-foot-high Siachen Glacier, the world's highest battleground.
  3. Temperatures fall to 60 degrees temperature below zero, and sudden blizzards can bury field artillery in minutes. Only 10 per cent of oxygen is available in Siachen than it is in plains.
  4. Snowstorms on the Siachen glacier can last for as long as 3 weeks. Winds here can touch speeds of 100 mph in no time. Annual snowfall in Siachen can be well over 3 dozen feet.
  5. In Siachen, soldiers are at the risk of getting frostbite if their bare skin touches any metal object for more than 15 seconds. Fainting spells and pounding headaches are frequent.
  6. Indian soldiers who stay at that altitude for long suffer from weight loss, loss of appetite, sleep disorders and memory loss. Speech blurring is obvious.
  7. At Siachen, rations come out of tin cans. An orange or an apple can freeze to the hardness of a cricket ball in no time.
  8. Army pilots literally push their helicopters well beyond their optimal performance, to drop supplies at forward posts located at an altitude of more than 20,000 feet.
  9. In the last three years alone, 50 Indian soldiers are reported to have died on the Siachen glacier.
  10. At Siachen, the Indian Army spends as much as 80 per cent of its time preparing soldiers of deployment.
  11. A war memorial on the banks of the Nubra River has the names of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives on the glacier.

Delhi sacrificing mostly agricultural caste and other soldiers And spending South Indian money to take revenge for kashmiri baapans and

occupy muslim

land.
siaches does not need to be defended it is just a glacier with no people there needing any security. Stupidity to extreme.

So some stupid indian general occupied the glacier “anticipating “ that Otherwise Pakistan will occupy. Note that word “anticipating”. Nice way to cover your lust for controversial land belonging to local people. And to defend that chanakya like cunning 2000 Indian young men had to die as soldiers and burn thousands of cries of money.

most sensible countries even if enemies would have figured out how to de scala te. But not India.
