R-Jeevi booked for morphing photo

The controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, no matter what, stays adamant in doing what he likes. Irrespective of sentiments and society norms, RGV hardly cares about others and even likes going for extremities. A new controversial tweet arose on Sunday morning from him as RGV tweets a morphed photo of ex-President Pranab Mukherjee with evangelist KA Paul.

The Hyderabad cybercrime police booked a case against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma for the morphed picture. The photo shows KA Paul handing over the censor certificate of 'Amma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Biddalu' to the former president. RGV did this to bring the irony for his political satire film. RGV not only morphed the picture but also circulated widely on his social media platforms.

On this, the cybercrime police received a complaint against Varma and the complainant is Jyoti Begal, who is a personal secretary to Mr Paul.  Mr N. Mohan Rao, who heads the social media hacking unit in Hyderabad cybercrime department, said, "We have booked a case under IPC Section 469 (forgery for purpose of harming reputation), 509 (intending to insult the modesty of any woman),  and relevant sections of the IT Act and a probe is underway"
