hi konchem short term health insurance help cheyandi bro.  changing employer new employer told he will cover the health benifits after the 30 days of employment.

current employer dagara cobra thesukundam anukunte chala expensive ga vundi.

need health insurance for Jan month

Cobra can be activated retroactively as long as you are enrolled into it.

if some health incident happens then only you can pay premium that time and get it activated.

Yes, Cobra is insanely expensive at most companies as they will not provide you the 80-90% employee premium cost once you leave the company

Check if it is 30 days following joining date or if it is the start of the next month.

Some companies cover the health insurance for entire month even if you work for 1 day in that month , You can probably plan in such a way that you leave the previous company and join the new company in the first week of the month. In that way , previous company will cover the current month and new company needs to cover from the first day of next month

If it does not work out check ehealthinsurance dot com for short term health insurance policies , they may be ok for 30 days but not good in the long run as they will have a life time max.

These short term plans will also not cover any vaccinations , so make sure your kids are vaccinated before your old insurance plan ends

But these will be ok for urgent sick visits , probably will have very less copay like 50$ for urgent care visits
