Things have happened..not so good as well very bad things have happened. Here is my take..

If you see at common population, migrant population has thrived here in the city. But the local and native population has suffered. They lost their identity, lost their properties, lost their sources of incomes and became laborers in the same city where they have lived for generations to cater to the needs of migrant population and the best part, they are neither complaining nor protesting but trying to catch up with pace.

For example, Muslims and Hindus of old city today are living miserable life than they used to do few decades back, The city which prides it self with its infrastructure and educational facilities in pre historic times, could not cater to the needs of its native population like it did to migrant communities. Economically downtrodden and these things bother me most than anythign else.

The same neighbouroods which were destroyed, are same ones where our people used to live in harmony...

but just like india, bangladesh also has identity papers, and won't accept foreigners into their country.

Its India's mess to deal with. Bangladesh's contention is that many people who fled to India during 1971 war have returned. especialy muslims.and its mostly true.
