Amaravati, the most-hated name in Andhra Pradesh in the last four years and even now; not because they don’t want a capital; not because they hate Buddhism; but because of the way the TDP and its community had handled it.

Chandrababu Naidu acted like a dictator. He did not consult anyone except his own party leaders. He did not take other parties into consideration at any point of time.

He conducted every event in Amaravati as a family event with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson present with him.

His party did not allow any party to speak about Amaravati. His party leaders did not give a chance to any party leader to buy any piece of land in Amaravati, either before it was name nor after.

The caste that owns and backs Chandrababu Naidu and his TDP too owned this capital – Amaravati – as if it is their own habitat.

There was an open display of the caste domination – even with the NRIs from the same caste – moving around with US Dollars on hand and displaying the arrogance of power and money.

There was injustice done to the SCs, STs, BCs, Minorities and others in every sphere in the 29 villages of Amaravati – land pooling, plots allotment, compensation payment and others.

People of all sections, of all castes and of all places, disliked this attitude; hated this ugly display of dictatorship in administration, arrogance in politics, dominance in social relationships.

The anger was shown in elections and the TDP was mercilessly defeated in the two Assembly segments that form part of the capital Amaravati – Tadikonda and Mangalagiri.

Respecting the sentiments of the people, Jagan Mohan Reddy had thus restricted Amaravati to a just political capital, while shifting the executive (administrative) capital to Visakhapatnam and judicial capital to Kurnool amidst applause from the MLAs of North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions GA
