First off, there are a lot of social constraints, second off most men in leadership positions see women as being inefficient for no reason, third off women are undervalued and underpaid. And most importantly, women don't have role models, because of lack of women in leadership roles.

When men and women are equally smart, why do they have reservations in competitive exams and college admissions? Are women in the city smarter than women from the villages? If yes, should city women not get reservations? 😐

What if the shortage can be explained by other reasons like “not willing to take up better positions because the mother fell in love with the kids and would rather be with her family than be in a position of leadership in a far away city”? Should women who avail reservations question the validity of reservations granted to minorities and lower castes when they themselves are beneficiaries of such similar schemes? The shortage of women in leadership positions can be explained by gender stereotyping like the way you're doing right now.
