Two volunteer firefighters, 32-year-old Geoffrey Keaton and 36-year-old Andrew O’Dwyer, were killed when their truck overturned while they were responding to a blaze in Wattle Creek. Three others were injured in the incident. As news of the deaths was confirmed, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that he is returning home from his family holiday and “deeply regrets any offence caused” by his trip.
