Why is that a good thing though? It would mean the Government has to give freebies to more people than it needs to. What is the point of giving freebies to more people than you need to? If they have a better database, and link it to their income, they can figure out who are getting freebies and if they deserve to get it.

it may be surprising, to u, but if govt stepped aside, and let capitalists compete, the market will crash in no time.

govt exists to distribute wealth, and to keep economy as vibrant as possible.

capitalism is not some perpetual machine system that once turned on, will forever work. It's  ticking time bomb that will explode on everyone's faces.

stop talking trash.

all the research u do, for future commercial products is worth nothing, if people don't have the money to buy it.

yeah, freebies is one of the way to keep the economy running. otherwise capitalism will collapse under its own weight.

Its even okay to give freebies to refugees, because they also become part of the economy when they start working. and by all accounts immigrants work in vastly higher degree than natives. especially unskilled ones.

Why would you want freebies to go to refugees, and have them influence the elections, and the demography of the country? I would rather we take over Bangladesh. I mean we only have limited sources and they aren't any free meals served.

Would you want your tax money to feed the people that are in India illegally is the question. Now I agree that some part of the legality is not defined very well in some instances, but the efforts towards NRC is the right step forward.

as if India is actually feeding indians now, that u are so worried that it is going to feed foreigners too. nice joke.

economy doesn't differentiate between refugees and natives. are u going to declare thta u won't sell to refugees? lol.

refugees are in the system means, they are already part of the economy.

so at what point would you start to reconsider the trash opinions u post on stuff u don't understand?

pick up a simple economics book.

countries exist only to manage the economy, not to punish its citizens or outsiders. The second thing happens when they are doing a sh1t job with the economy.

India has been doing a shitty job with it's economy already. There is no need to give out free goodies to more people than it needs to. We don't have any money growing plants.

actually India does. that plant is called RBI. and it bears money if tended well with good policy, something that is foreign to this particular govt.

India isn't running on a surplus budget, giving citizenship to additional people will only make it worse. Weeding out people will make it better to figure out who really deserves it. It needs to be done sometime or the other, now is the right time because they have a majority in both the houses.

running a surplus budget is bad economics. It contracts the money supply in the system.

that's why pick up an economics book

Well get them to make the economy move faster first, implement GST better, get tax money from small merchants that evade taxes, no reason to give out free alms to the helpless. India is not in a situation to give out free goodies to foreigners.
