in my opinion the act is wrong in principle of the constitution and same principle of thought should be extended to Hindu/ Buddist majority regimes like sri lanka, bhutan, burma, nepal, china. aren’t there going to be any persecution on religious minorities in these countries? in the process we are further alienating minorities in India..that is a dangerous precedence, BJP is not going to be at the helm for ever, there will be a weak moment, weak leader, weak government  and because of incidents like these the minorities might rally behind a person/entity to create trouble just like it happened during independence time.

as Db folks think this is not a black white issue, it is a delicate matter, the moment the balance is tripped it is going to cause repercussions few generations later.

If the Indian Government doesn't interfere with religion in the country, then it's secular. Mari temples, trusts, boards lo donations meeda Government pettanam enduku undi? Why is the divorce laws, civil code different based on someone's religion? With all these, how can you say India is secular? Did you ever hear the US government having rights over the funds over church donations or having Government bodies in charge of churches?
