Every year — since 2007 — the iPhone Photography Awards are held and showcase the best images clicked from Apple’s smartphones. This year an image clicked by an Indian has won an award in a category. According to the IPPAwards website, an image clicked by Sreekumar Krishnan, in Bengaluru, which earned him the first prize in the ‘Sunset’ category.

The image is a statue of Lord Ram and was shot as the sun is about to set. The IPPAwards website says this in the image description, “The evening sky marred by some solitary clouds provided a perfect backdrop to this shot. This is the statue of Lord Ram, Hindu God, shot in the outskirts of Bangalore just before sunset.” Interestingly, the image was shot from an iPhone 6s, which was launched in 2015.

Krishnan’s profile on the same website reads, “Sreekumar Krishnan is an award winning professional photographer and teacher of photography based in Bangalore, India. His work Indian Sunshine was digitally displayed at the Louvre in France and National Geographic featured his photograph, “the mystical birds of Bharatpur” as Shot of the day. His works have also been displayed at various art galleries in Bangalore. When he is not shooting, he teaches meditation.”

As a category winner, Krishnan stands to win a bar of gold as mentioned by the iPhone Photography Awards. The categories under which images were submitted are: Abstract, Animals, Architecture, Children, Floral, Landscape, Lifestyle, Nature, News and Events, Panorama, People, Portrait, Series (3 images), Still Life, Sunset, Travel, Trees, Other.

A jury reviewed all entries and judged images on the “basis of artistic merit, originality, subject, and style” Users were allowed to use any iPhone to click images and were also allowed to use add-on lenses

How many murders were committed under the slogan
"jai shri ram" ? yes that Ram picture is nothing like traditional ramudu idols in temples. It is a symbol of hate - when did we ever hear in our villages the slogan "jai shri ram" .it was always rama or ramudu. It is a foreign slogan and hate symbol.
