Following the airstrike that killed the Iranian general Qassem Soleimani near Baghdad airport, the US Embassy in the city issued a statement saying that due to heightened tensions in the region, American citizens should depart Iraq immediately. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Iran and other "freedom-seeking countries" in the region will take revenge, Tasnin News reports.
