Do you honestly think Vizag can offer better opportunities compared to Hyd in the near future? No way.. So for the foreseeable future most of the people will chose Hyd over Vizag..

For IT sector probably not. Even Amaravati vunna kooda people would have preferred Hyderabad for IT jobs because of better profile jobs and life style.

But AP has lot more scope for other sectors than IT. So it all depends on what kind of economy is developed in Vizag after capital is made.

I have never been to Vizag and probably never will. It's too far from Hyd or any other town that I am associated with in AP or TG..

The more I think about it Hyd will benefit more from this move. Vizag is geographically too far away from 70% of APs population. Most of the districts close to Hyd in AP will continue living and investing in Hyderabad and some Seema districts will pick Bangalore or Chennai..

For someone from Anantapur, Vizag will be 14 hours+ via road. From Prakasam district, Vizag will be 10+ hours, From Guntur it will be close to 9+ hours. From Kurnool Dist it will be 14+ hours, From Nellore it will be 12+ hours again.

Vizag will never be truly owned by people of AP.. I think it's the destiny of AP to never have a large metropolis like Hyderabad or Bangalore that will be owned by all the residents of that state..

AP has huge potential for SME and agri prodcuts mauifacting and exports, lot of raw materials and perfect coastal transportaton as well as exports...IT glamour pakana petti, oorike Cosmo culture comparision pakana pedithe they have abundant growth factors..

Vizag can offer better and alternative lifestyles on its own but in comparison with Hyd or Bangalore, it will fail to reach expectations immediately but will catch up soon with in a decade

It's impossible to catch up in a decade bro. It will take several generations.. Vizag is still raw and the population is half of Hyd or Bangalore. At best it can be like Cochi or Trivendram or Coimbatore and it will take 40 to 50 years before it can be on the same footing as Hyd or Bangalore. Even if it reaches the same potential most of the people from Seema and Middle andhra will pick Hyd over Vizag because of the distance and cultural similarity..

If driven in the right direction, a decade can change a lot. Even for Bangalore and Hyderabad, all it took was a ‘Golden Decade’ to change things and what we see today is the result of that ‘Golden Decade’

Bangalore and Hyderabad, in my opinion has been driven in the right direction and things which are natural and suitable have been encouraged like services sector. If these two have been promoted as heavy industrial cluster like Hubli/Dharwad/Coimbatore, then situation would have been much worse.

For Vizag, if drive-in in the right direction where it has strength, Can grow a lot in a decade. Vizag ni IT capital cheyadam ante it has to compete with Hyd and Bangalore and it will fail to reach its mark. But Oka export oriented port Megacity with SME’s ga promote chesthe East Coast la 1000Km’s either sides of Vizag has no competition...

Kolkata port is losing importance because of silting and Chennai is over crowded and busy, expensive port. Vizag is a growing port with huge hinterland you be tapped, growth assured for two decades..
