India lo exponential growth untadhi kabbate everyone crave to invest there. Specially in current economical climate, it takes you and your spouse half the life to payoff house loan and real estate won't appreciate that much when compared to India. As we age out, it is practically not possible to own properties like your parents/grand parents did. Times are changing.

Problem is we are bridge between old and new. So your kids won't have this expectation and your parents are fine. You are transitioning from old school to new school, they call you as Torch Bearer. Congrats uncle.
