A senior police officer in Kashmir, who is also winner of the President’s Medal for bravery, was on Saturday caught with two terrorists travelling in a vehicle on Srinagar-Jammu highway.

 

Identified as Davinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, posted at Srinagar International airport, was on his way to Delhi along with the arrested terrorists.

 

Davinder Singh was awarded the President's Police Medal for Gallantry on August 15 last year.

 

The police is reported to have recovered huge cache of arms in raids in South Kashmir after arrest of Davinder and the two terrorists.

 

Davinder Singh had come to limelight after Afzal Guru, who was given death sentence in Parliament attack case of 2001, had alleged that Davinder Singh had asked him to accompany a Parliament attack accused to Delhi and make arrangements for his stay in the national capital.

According to police, Naveed Babu is accused of being involved in the killing of 11 non-local workers including truck drivers and labourers in South Kashmir in October and November last year. Babu carried out the killing of non-locals to target Kashmir’s apple industry after withdrawal of special status of Jammu and Kashmir by scrapping Article 370 on August 5, 2019.

 

According to police, Hizbul terrorist Naveed Babu is also a former Special Police Officer (SPO).

There are serious doubts in the Afzal Guru case. obviously there will be people who will be against his hanging.

u calling Khalid as dangerous for simply being more knowledgeable than you are, says a lot about you.

Now that the police officer in the Afzal Guru petition is being caught with terrorists, do you want to rethink your claim that Afzal Guru is damnnn sure a terrorist?
