A cousin recently showed me a hostel in bangalore that imports smart kids from their caste and trains them to pass civil services.

I won't name the caste, because I saw these things in madurai, coimbatore too. Its a fcuking epidemic. everyone who has the means to do it, are doing it.

Not true. All the priests still come from one caste. Sideshow is your incorrect reference. As I said it is the concept of purity whihc feeds on to caste. I have seen people feeling uncomfortable in the presence of dalit even when he is well dressed and speaks well - why ? it is just concept of purity which percolates. R venkatraman has the his presidents chair washed because it was occupied by carpeenter person Giani Zail Singh. Religous purity is very important and must be democraticised. if it is not why do you think brahmins wont give up. Its easy for them doesnt even cost them that much money they are already wealthy anyway.

These are easy things to tackle. In the modern era, u simply hire as many dalits/muslims/obcs as you can, and force these brahmins (not all of them are sticklers to this purity bullshit anyway) to work with them. dont entertain their stupid demands for separate canteen etc. work or fcuk off. simple. I am going to do it, anyway.

The bigger problem is, networks that these castes have formed gives them a huge headstart. Any dalit person has to work for 15yrs to prove his mettle, what an uppercaste kid can do in 15 days because someone rich knows their father somehow, and will trust a specific investment with him.

how do you change this level of inequality. This has nothing to do with hinduism or caste hierarchy, but purely a function of how humans work under capitalism.Even people who are not overtly casteist can't escape this.

this sets other groups by a 100yrs, unless that particular individual is really talented. whereas dumbfcuks from uppercaste can enjoy a reasonable life.

yeah, I've heard 100s of startup pitches in India. 90+% comes from uppercaste kids, and 99% are always a copy of something already done in the US.

ofcourse they are going to get funded somehow. because that's how India is.

When capitalism came knocking on India's doors, the ones who had the headstart gained the most.

no wonder these dumbfcuks hail PVNR as the greatest visionary. That casteist fcuk helped his own people. nothing more than that.

ps. I do concede that capitalism helped India in a lot of ways, but is also the cause of most problems in the now and will be in the future.

This is not such formidable inequality at all in my opinion. As long as people have no memory of what caste other person is and is accustomed to seeing their relatives in all sort of positions it will quickly change.  I mean most of us worked in farms just a generation ago while an average suburban american kid was driving a car even three generations ago but now earn salaries more than like 90 percent of americans.

But yes education inequality must also be bridged very quickly. One option is compulsary govt school education like china does and private education as exceptions. ofcourse education is most of west is also govt education.

The inequality in India is staggering. especially at the level of funding for a business. I'm just glad that there has been no killer startup company from India, because it will widen the gap.

I'll try my best to push a dalit person as heading that killer startup company. but I don't think its possible under the current circumstances. Most people would refuse to do business with you, if you are dalit and a newbie.

muslims are somewhat better positioned, because some of their castes have support systems. but majority muslims are poorer than dalits in fact and have no hope in hell to escape that.

India is a depressing place. It is a feature of  hinduism, but the blame doesn't just fall on brahmins.

the next round of money infusion will again help the already entrenched, pushing the poor to depend on meagre salaries or govt subsidies.

the inequaity is heart breaking. and there's nothing anyone can do.

If a dalit person, somewhat gifted with gab and other tech skills manage to start a company, he still has to surround himself with uppercaste dumbos. because he won't get any business otherwise.

u say the inequality is not that great? lol.
