I don’t think it has to be negotiated, the management would be changing but not the operations right ? Or at least that’s what it means by 100% stake sale and management control.

Dont know if someone will come to buy air india or not ..until that old gen staff is thrown away and modern air hostess and competent ground staff comes in place..then only it will survive..or else it's never going to come back..this has been biggest apprehension for any buyer to come forward to buy this crap airline..

But it has lot of major routes in USA for big cities like SFO chicago new York..etc..if the private company can take over reorg the staff then it would be nice..

Everyone thinks Air India makes good money on India-USA route, the reality is that  it doesn't. It makes money but not lucrative.

Air India still does not serve major American cities. LAX,SEA, DET, BOS, DFW, MIA etc. Even Washington DC started an year back until then there was no direct service between New Delhi and Washington DC.

Air India makes good money on flying middle east and east asia..and some unique routes like Helsinki,Tokyo,Jakarta, KL, Brussels, Paris, etc
