brain vaadu. India is not a big exporting nation. Indian growth so far has only been achieved by bringing people out of  poverty through many means (welfare schemes one of them).

population taggisthey gdp growth undadhu. basic fact idhi. ofcourse you can keep poor people from producing more babies by cutting welfare, but that is already achieved through education and rise in living standards for them.

India's fertility rate has come down from 4.5 to around 2.7 or something. In the south it is even less, around 1.2 - 1.6

what will removing welfare schemes achieve? ans - bring economy to a halt.

India lo edho innovate chesi podichesthunnattu maatram anukoku. India inka sarigga lechi nilabadatam kooda ledhu. the people with the money are not even investing in producing stuff to sell. neeku welfare teeskuney vaalley kanipinchaara?

Money can be used to improve quality of life for people. If people have money, they will spend it and fill govt coffers.

You can't force population control like China did, ended up with huge gender inequality. As people move out of poverty and improve standard of living, population will be controlled.
