College grads are struggling..

The U.S. job market is hot, but those with college degrees are nevertheless finding it tough to get a job. According to the New York Federal Reserve, unemployment for those with a recent bachelor’s degree or higher was 3.9% in December, 0.3 percentage points above the rate for all workers. And as student debt balloons to $1.6 trillion, the lower-earning half of grads are struggling to make ends meet. What's going on? The labor market may have an overabundance of degree holders, according to Bloomberg. Meanwhile, many of the new jobs that are being generated don't require a bachelor's and may not pay enough for grads to cover their loan payments.

that report doesn't say anything specific about the majors.. folks from STEM do get multiple offers before they even leave school.. but there are a whole bunch of good for nothing majors, though.. that is probably skewing up the metrics...

@Sucker was doing some baseless allegations on desi h1 opt h4s who occupy STEM areas. local companies love to recruit college hires , low pay they have latest tech knowledge.

if he is trying for top tier companies, problem solving leetcode comes into picture,..luck also comes into play.. kko sari takes time for breakthrough..

It might take time to get a job for fresher but IT side grad ayite job asalu rakapovadam is hard to believe. Especially GC/ Citizens ki ravatledu ante something wrong.  Market is too good honestly. 

Are they talking about other than IT ?

I dont know dude i worked with American freshers with amazing programming skills.  Just out of college.  People who study here they study with passion not our timepass type chaduvu. Andaru thope ley untaru anatledu but job raleni stage lo undaru in my opinion at least if they are from  CS background.  STEM backgrounds lo kuda vallaki Job aey radu ante its unbelievable for me.
