The culture of doing remakes runs high in the Telugu circuit and most of the times storylines are imported from Hollywood or the Korean cine circuit. In the recent past, the awareness of the Telugu audience has increased in terms of world cinema which is prompting the Telugu filmmakers to look towards foreign scripts as well.

But now, it is heard that one Oscar winning movie has grabbed the attention of the Filmnagar folks. We are talking about the Korean movie ‘The Parasite’. It has released in Hyderabad with subtitles and is rocking in Hyderabad as well. As a result, few filmmakers are making thoughts on how it will be if it is remade in Telugu.

Helmed by Bong Joon-Ho ‘Parasite has a very interesting story with good scope for entertainment. It won 4 Oscars so it would be interesting to see how many will receive it properly and commercially here. As such, the film scored well in both the departments and there is surrealism, metaphors along with a hidden message. This is a multilayered script with good potential so let us see how and when the Telugu version shapes up.
