First .net framework has platform independence issues struggled for nearly 15 yrs to give tough fight to java but still still java leads

 

second they came up with .net core which is good but its too late...all the communities are already developed in for other programming languages..

 

Wpf was little hope because of xamarin...but react native or ionic..etc giving tough competition...

 

even windows universal (iot) platform also has other good alternatives...

 

windows os itself is failure ...Microsoft itself releasing win linux...

 

so at this stage if anyone looking for long term...better not choose .net framework/core...

 

or if u have job readily available...only u need to learn dotnet then ok...
