not really... knockouts are different type of competitions... you can be shite for most of the season and can still win CL... like chelsea in 2012, madrid in 2014 and 2016... 

You can also be the greatest team of the season and still dont win it... like city 2018, atletico 2014, etc... 

You have to be consistently good to be the best team... and consistency is measured in leagues, not in cup tpurnaments.... cup tournaments are just an icing on top of the cake... you need to win the league (cake) and then the CL (icing) to have more validation... winning just CL alone doesnt make you the best team of the season, despite media chirping that narrative due to its popularity

I agree it all comes to the performance on the day unlike leagues, my point is Liverpool has best chances atleast to be in finals.
