WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Two cases of potential coronavirus are being investigated by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

On Wednesday, the VDH revealed that one person in northern Virginia and another in southwest Virginia are being tested for the virus.

The VDH cannot reveal the identities of the two individuals but say they are Virginia residents.

 

This comes one day after the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) warned that an outbreak of the deadly virus in the United States is imminent.

 

 

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has unveiled an $8.5 billion request to respond to the virus outbreak.
