Hyd Police bust weed chocolates mafia!

Despite the fact that weed, which is called Marijuana or Cannabis or simply 'Ganjayi' in Telugu, is banned in India, there are many people cultivating them in the remote and tribal areas like Araku valley and in forests of Orissa, and selling them to youngsters in cities like Hyderabad. To make sure that they don't fall in the police net, these drug peddlers and sellers are finding innovative ways to sell them. Here comes a pan shop owner named Jayanth Pradhan in Sanath Nagar, who is selling chocolates that are infused with weed powder. He is said to have made deal with the weed-chocolate manufacturer name Akash Das and selling these chocolates to college students. Other day, excise officials have raided the pan shop and took the owner into custody. Excise officials have also identified that weed chocolate is being sold in many other pan shops in areas between Sanath Nagar and Fateh Nagar. According to officials, these peddlers are making weed into a fine powder and mixing into various deserts to sell it off easily.
