Congrats. Vancouver is ridiculously expensive. Tourism ki better, market very slow there. Toronto is ridiculously populated but slightly cheaper than Vancouver (still expensive like crazy). Tech hub kuda Toronto.

Toronto has more IT opportunities but Vancouver super Untundi . Happening place .

That's doesn't qualify for living standards. Vochey salary lo 60% rent ke potey taxes ponu enta happening unna mannam happen avvalem. Both places are good for tourism , Vancouver beats Toronto on that .. settling is different from tourism. Purchasing power is weaker than india. Internet and mobile phone plans are one of the costliest In the world.

Most recent surveys showed Toronto is expensive than SFO and on par with Vancouver. The avg price of a single bed rental property ( 500-600sqft) in toronto is $2100

Depends on areas in GTA though, north York etc are crazy. But some areas are hanging around 1400. But ya...it keeps increasing! Like U mentioned Montreal is cheapest. But life is a bit harsh

Nen complete Waterloo Etc areas also considered. You are right, Market is very slow...but if you have to compare between Vancouver and Toronto, just Toronto slightly better Anna anthe. Agree with your eastern cities statement.

Acha.. which area has 1400? I think you haven't tried to rent a place in last 6 months. There are basements or govt subsidized places with those prices.

You should also consider long travelling times if your work is in downtown Toronto or Mississauga or Brampton.. GO transit is ridiculously expensive too. Dantlo Canadian banks mostly won't allow wfh.. ekkadno duram Hamilton Burlington  undi 1400 rent katti travelling ki inko 400 dobbetti, malla travel time daily 3 hours.. I think it's equivalent of living in Bengaluru.
