42,42,718 COVID-19 samples tested till now: ICMR

Of the total 42,42,718 COVID-19 samples tested so far, 1,39,485 samples have been tested in the past 24 hours, according to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). 

 

India's COVID-19 recovery rate at 48%

Of the total 2,16,919  COVID-19 cases across the nation as many as 1,04,107 patients were cured of the viral disease, said the health ministry on Thursday. This took India's COVID-19 recovery rate to 47.99 percent.

India registers 9,304 new COVID-19 cases and 260 deaths: Health Ministry

In the past 24 hours, India registered 9,304 fresh corona virus cases and 260 deaths. The total number of COVID-19 cases across the nation was now at 2,16,919 including 1,06,737 active cases, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday. 

While,  6,075 lives were claimed by the viral infection so far.

43,86,376 COVID-19 samples tested so far: ICMR

Of the total 43,86,376 COVID-19 samples tested so far, 1,43,661 samples have been tested in the past 24 hours, said the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Friday. 

India's COVID-19 recovery rate at 48.27%

Of the total 2,26,770 corona virus cases in India, at least 1,09,462 COVID-19 patients were cured of the viral infection, according to the latest data released by the  Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday.

This brings India's COVID-19 recovery rate to 48.27 percent.

India's total confirmed cases over 2.26 lakh  

In the past 24 hours, India registered 9,851 new COVID-19 cases taking the total number of infections across the country to 2,26,770 as of Friday. The figure also includes 1,10,960 active cases.

At least lives of 273 people were claimed by the infectious disease taking the COVID-19 toll to 6,348.

Andhra Pradesh reports 50 new Cases and records 3,427 confirmed cases

Andhra Pradesh registered a total of 3,427 confirmed corona virus cases after 50 more people tested COVID-19 positive in the past 24 hours, said the state health department on Friday.

India's COVID-19 recovery rate at 48.27%

In the past 24 hours, a total of 5,355 COVID-19 patients have been cured of the novel corona virus, taking the total number of recoveries over 1 lakh, according to the latest data released by the health ministry on Friday. This takes India's COVID-19 recovery rate to 48.27 percent.

"Presently, there are 1,10,960 active cases and all are under active medical supervision," the health ministry further said.

Bihar confirms 4,551 COVID-19 cases

With 99 more people testing positive for the novel corona virus in Bihar, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state climbed to 4,551, according to the state health department on Friday.

46 new COVID-19 cases in Uttarakhand 

Uttarakhand detected 46 more positive cases of COVID-19, taking total confirmed cases in the state to 1,199. "Active cases stand at 874 while 11 deaths have been reported so far," said the state health department.

Five new COVID-19 cases in Puducherry today

Puducherry health minister Malladi Krishna Rao said that five fresh coronavirus cases have been reported in the union territory on Friday, taking the total number of cases in the UT to 104. The number of active cases in UT is 62.

Seven new COVID-19 cases in ITBP

Seven new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in the last 24 hours. There are total 31 active cases and 177 have recovered till date.

Karnataka reports 515 new COVID-19 cases

Karnataka reported 515 new corona virus cases from 5 pm on Thursday to 5 pm on Friday. The total number of cases in the state rose to 4,835, including 3,088 active cases.

The toll stands at 57, the state health department said.

Kerala reports 111 new COVID-19 cases

Kerala reported its highest single-day jump in corona virus cases with 111 new patients recorded, reports said. Reportedly, 50 new patients came to the state from abroad, and 48 are from .other states.

1,438 new COVID-19 cases reported in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu registered a record jump of 1,438 novel corona virus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 28,694 on today, while the death toll rose to 232 with 12 more deaths.

Chennai recorded 1,116 new Covid-19 cases on today, its highest single-day count so far, taking the number of the infected in the city to 19,809.

US COVID-19 toll over 1.09 lakh

Over 900 people succumbed to the novel corona virus in the United States in the past 24 hours, bringing the toll to 109,042 on Saturday. The country registered more than 1.89 million COVID-19 cases, according to a real-time tally maintained by Johns Hopkins University. 

 

India records over 2.35 lakh cases, surpasses Italy for sixth spot 

Surpassing Italy, the number of corona virus cases in India climbed past 2.35 lakh on Friday, taking the country to the sixth spot worldwide, according to the data released by John Hopkins University. India on Friday registered 9,332 new COVID-19 cases and 297 deaths. The total stood at 2,36,047, including 6,647 deaths. 

In terms of cases, India had crossed China - where the virus emerged late in 2019 - for the ninth spot just a week ago.

India registered a total of 9,887 new COVID-19 cases and 294 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the latest data released by the health ministry on Saturday. This takes the total confirmed cases to 2,36,657 nationwide. 

6,642 COVID-19 deaths in India so far: health ministry 

Of the total 2.36 lakh infections in India, there are 1,15,942 active cases nationwide, according to the recent data released by the health ministry on Saturday.  After 294 more people succumbed to the viral infection, the COVID-19 toll across the nation stood at 6,642.

India's COVID-19 recovery rate at 48.20%

Of the total 2.36 lakh COVID-19 cases in India, 1,14,072 people have been cured of the infectious disease as of Saturday, said the health ministry. This takes the COVID-19 recovery rate to 48.20 percent.
