Three new cases in Karnataka; state's tally at 18

Three new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Karnataka, taking the total number ofinfections to 18, the state government said on Saturday.

Earlier on Saturday, Health Minister B Sriramulu giving details about one positive case said, a 32-year old person from Gauribidanur in Chikkaballapura district, who has returned from Mecca has been confirmed for the infection.

The person has been admitted in a designated isolated hospital for treatment, he said in a tweet. Details regarding the other two patients are still awaited.

People are supporting state govt move pretty well, even govt is monitoring and taken actions pretty swiftly.

From Today Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur are kind of under shut down.

 

Only Essential services will be available public transport is also restricted and pvt offices have been told to asked to close and work from home..

Govt offices will handle only important works and shall work at 25% staff which was earlier 50% , this is till 31st March..

Groceries and other food provisions are available normally and in some places they have been asked to be open on alternate days..

No running trains will be halted on March 22: Indian Railways

The Indian Railways has also decided to relax refund rules for counter-generated tickets in an effort to promote social distancing. Responding to claims that trains will also not run on Sunday as part of the PM's Janta curfew, the Railways said that no such services will be delayed or halted on March 22.

In India, confirmed cases doubled in a week

Confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus have doubled since the past week in India. In countries like China, South Korea, and Japan, experts are now witnessing a flat curve in the number of confirmed cases. However, the same number is doubling in Italy, Spain and Iran every 2nd-3rd day.

With three more people testing positive for Covid-19 in the state, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Karnataka now stands at 19, including the elderly male who died as a result of the infection in Kalaburagi.

New cases in Gujarat, total number at 13

A minister in Gujarat has confirmed that six new cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported in the state on Saturday. This takes the total number of cases in Gujarat to 13, reported news agency PTI. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani confirmed the same and said that the most recent case has come to light from Gandhinagar. The person who tested positive in Gandhinagar has a travel history of overseas and the one who tested positive in Surat travelled abroad but also to Delhi and Jaipur, Rupani said.

Delhi couple deboarded from Rajdhani for breaching quarantine

A couple from Delhi was deboarded from the Bangalore-Delhi Rajdhani at the Secunderabad station in Telangana on Saturday morning. The matter reportedly came to light after co-passengers onboard the train spotted the home-quarantine seal on the husband's hand and alerted the authorities.

పుణే : విదేశీ ప్రయాణాలు చేయని, కోవిడ్-19 రోగితో సంబంధాలు లేని ఓ మహిళకు కరోనా వైరస్ (కోవిడ్-19) పాజిటివ్ అని శనివారం నిర్థరణ అయింది. నేషనల్ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ వైరాలజీ (ఎన్ఐవీ) ఈ వివరాలను వెల్లడించింది. దీంతో ఇది బహుశా భారత దేశంలో మొదటి కమ్యూనిటీ ట్రాన్స్‌మిషన్ కేసు అయి ఉండవచ్చుననే కొందరు అనుమానం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే ఈ వైరస్ మన దేశంలో నలుగురిని బలి తీసుకోగా, 258 మందికి సోకింది. 

 

మహారాష్ట్ర ఆరోగ్య శాఖాధికారి ఒకరు మాట్లాడుతూ పుణేకు చెందిన 41 ఏళ్ళ వయసుగల ఓ మహిళకు కోవిడ్-19 పాజిటివ్ వచ్చిందన్నారు. ఇది లోకల్ ట్రాన్స్‌మిషన్ అయి ఉంటుందన్నారు. 

 

జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ నావల్ కిశోర్ రామ్ మాట్లాడుతూ ఈ మహిళ భారతి ఆసుపత్రిలో ఇంటెన్సివ్ కేర్ యూనిట్‌లో చికిత్స పొందుతున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఆమె విదేశీ ప్రయాణాలు చేయలేదని, అయితే ఆమె ఈ నెల 3న నవీ ముంబైలోని వసిలో ఓ వివాహ వేడుకలో పాల్గొన్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఆమె విదేశాలకు వెళ్ళి వచ్చినవారిని కలిసి ఉండవచ్చునన్నారు. ఈ కేసును ఉన్నతాధికారులకు నివేదించినట్లు తెలిపారు. 

 

భారతి ఆసుపత్రి మెడికల్ డైరెక్టర్ సంజయ్ లాల్వానీ మాట్లాడుతూ కరోనా వైరస్ పాజిటివ్ మహిళను ఈ నెల 16న తమ ఆసుపత్రికి తీసుకొచ్చారన్నారు. ఆమె పరిస్థితి విషమంగా ఉందన్నారు. శుక్రవారం ఆమెకు వెంటిలేటర్‌ను ఉపయోగిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఐసీఎంఆర్, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం జారీ చేసిన మార్గదర్శకాలకు అనుగుణంగా బాధితురాలికి చికిత్స అందిస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. 

 

ఇదిలావుండగా, 20 ఏళ్ళ వయసుగల ఓ ఢిల్లీవాసికి తమిళనాడులో జరిపిన పరీక్షల్లో కరోనా వైరస్ పాజిటివ్ వచ్చినట్లు వార్తలు వస్తున్నాయి. ఈ యువకునికి కూడా విదేశీ ప్రయాణ చరిత్ర లేదని తెలుస్తోంది. 

 

మన దేశంలో సామాజిక వ్యాప్తి దశకు కరోనా వైరస్ చేరుకోలేదని కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్య మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ చెప్తోంది. భారత వైద్య పరిశోధన మండలి (ఐసీఎంఆర్) తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం మన దేశం ఇంకా కరోనా వైరస్ స్టేజ్-2లోనే ఉంది, కమ్యూనిటీ ట్రాన్స్‌మిషన్ దశకు చేరుకోలేదు.

 

రాష్ట్ర ఆరోగ్య శాఖ డైరెక్టర్ అర్చన పాటిల్ మాట్లాడుతూ కోవిద్-19 రోగి పరిస్థితి విషమంగా ఉంటే, హెచ్ఐవీ మందులను వాడవచ్చునని ఐసీఎంఆర్ సిఫారసులు చెప్తున్నాయన్నారు.

Why Maharashtra govt doesn’t want you to use your ACs

Maharshtra government has issued an advisory asking people to restrict the use of air conditioners in view of COVID-19 pandemic citing the reason that the virus can sneak in through the AC vents. The announcement was made by Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Saturday, quoting the World Health Organsiation guidelines which say that the virus can sneak in via AC vents, News18 reported.
