India's active COVID-19 caseload nearly 15.7 lakh 

India's COVID-19 active caseload on Friday rose to 15,69,743, which now comprises 10.98 percent of the total infections. A total of 2,17,353 new infections were registered in a day, while the death count increased to 1,74,308 with 1,185 daily new fatalities, the health ministry data updated at 8 am showed.
