దేశంలో 315కు చేరుకున్న కరోనా పాజిటివ్‌ కేసులు

దిల్లీ: శనివారం సాయంత్రం నాటికి  దేశంలో కరోనా పాజిటివ్‌ కేసుల సంఖ్య 315కు చేరుకుంది. ఈ మేరకు భారత ఆరోగ్య పరిశోధన మండలి(ఐసీఎంఆర్‌) వివరాలను అధికారికంగా ప్రకటించింది. మొత్తం 16,021 మంది నుంచి 16,911 నమూనాలు సేకరించినట్లు పేర్కొంది.

10 COVID-19 patients recovered in Uttar Pradesh

  The Uttar Pradesh government said on Saturday that 10 out of 26 coronavirus patients who were undergoing treatment have recovered and were discharged. The total number positive cases in the state are 26 — eight each in Agra and Lucknow, six in Noida, two in Ghaziabad, one each in Lakhimpur Kheri and Moradabad, said Vikasendu Agrawal, joint director/state surveillance officer, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, in a statement.Ten COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered fully and discharged from hospitals where they were admitted, the statement said.

SARS-CoV-2(COVID-19)Testing: Status Update as on 21-March 2020 6:00 PM IST

A total of 16,911 samples from 16,021 individuals have been tested for SARS-CoV2 as on 21stMarch 2020  6:00 PM IST.

A total of 315 individuals have been confirmed positive among suspected cases and contacts of known positive cases.

As per WHO info it seems Corona Virus can spread thru AC Vents also, Maharashtra Govt Health Minister also said about minimizing AC usage.

Maximum testing cost capped at Rs 4,500

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) issues guidelines for COVID-19 testing by private laboratories. Maximum cost for testing samples capped at Rs 4,500 - Rs 1,500 for screening test for likely cases and additional Rs 3,000 for confirmation test.

Indian Railways curtails travel in Mumbai local trains

From 22 to 31 March, general public will not be allowed to travel in Mumbai local trains. Only those providing essential services will be allowed to travel and ID cards will be also checked at every station, CNN-News18 reported.

New positive cases reported in UP, West Bengal, Andhra, Chandigarh

A man with no history of travel abroad tested positive in coronavirus in West Bengal, bringing the total number of cases in the state to four, according to PTI. Meanwhile, a person who is a secondary contact of Chandigarh's first positive case, was also confirmed to have COVID-19 in the Union Territory, taking the total cases to six.

The total cases in Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh rose to 28 and five respectively, CNN-News18 reported. Two fresh cases were reported in Varanasi and Greater and included the daughter of state minister Chetan Chauhan.

Kerala Police's video shows how to avoid COVID-19

After releasing a video showing Kerala cops dancing while showing the steps to follow while washing hands, the state police has come out with a new video which shows that a mask and hand sanitiser is the way to “break the chain” of the coronavirus pandemic.

The video shows a man being chased by the coronavirus down a street. Soon, the man stops is seen to be flanked by a police officer and a doctor who hand him a sanitiser and a face mask.

Former Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz passes away due to COVID-19

Former Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz passed away on Saturday from the new coronavirus, his family said. He was 76. Sanz had been in intensive care since the beginning of the week while being treated for the virus.

Sanz presided over Madrid from 1995 until 2000, leading the club to two European titles, a Spanish league title and a Spanish Super Cup title.

Dharwad man with foreign travel history tests positive

A 33-year-old man with recent foreign travel history tested positive for coronavirus in Karnataka, Dharwad DC Deepa Cholan told ANI. She added that contact tracing is underway and the three kilometre area around Hosayellapur, where the infected person was living has been quarantined.

Maharashtra health minister urges people to not abandon pets over transmission fears

Putting to rest the myths about transmission of COVID-19 through domesticated animals, Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope that no such cases have been reported anywhere in the world and urged people not to abandon their pets.

Meanwhile, Galiff Street market, the Sunday destination for pet lovers and gardening enthusiasts in Kolkata, will remain shut for the next two weekends amid the coronavirus pandemic, CNN-News18 reported.

India records 5th novel-coronavirus death

A 56-year-old man in Maharashtra has been identified as the fifth Indian to die after being infected with the novel coronavirus. The man was admitted to the HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on March 21.

At present, Maharashtra has 74 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with the emergence of 10 new cases on Sunday.
