2 more confirmed cases in Greater Noida

Two more confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus have emerged from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities have sealed the housing society of the patients in Greater Noida (West).

Confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 415: Health Ministry

Total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the nation as on 23 March is 415, including the foreign nationals, according to Union Health Ministry. 

The number of novel coronavirus cases in Maharashtra stands at 89, which includes three foreigners. Kerala also reported 67 cases, including seven foreign nationals, data issued by the ministry showed.

Delhi has reported 29 positive cases, including a foreigner, while Uttar Pradesh has recorded 28, also including a foreigner, it added.

హైదరాబాద్: మార్చి 31 వరకు తెలంగాణ లాక్‌డౌన్‌ ప్రకటించడంతో హైదరాబాద్‌లోని నిత్యావసరాల ధరలు అమాంతం పెరిగిపోయాయి. నిన్న జనతా కర్ఫ్యూ తర్వాత నిత్యావసరాల కోసం ప్రజలు ఒక్కసారిగా బయటకు వచ్చారు. కూరగాయల మార్కెట్‌లలో అన్ని చోట్ల రద్దీ కనిపిస్తోంది. కూకట్‌పల్లి మార్కెట్‌లో కూరగాయల ధరలు పెరిగిపోయాయి. ఈ సందర్భంగా కొనుగోలు దారులు ఏబీఎన్ ఆంధ్రజ్యోతితో మాట్లాడుతూ కూరగాయలు ప్రతి కిలోకు రూ. 20 పెంచారన్నారు. సీఎం కేసీఆర్ మాత్రం నిత్యావసర వస్తువులు అందుబాటు ధరలో అందజేస్తామని చెప్పారని.. ఇవాళ మార్కెట్ పరిస్థితి చూస్తుంటే దారుణంగా ఉందన్నారు. మొన్నటి వరకు రూ. 9 అమ్మిన టమాట.. ఇవాళ రూ. 40 ఉందని.. అన్నీ కూరగాయల ధరలూ అలాగే ఉన్నాయని కొనుగోలుదారులు వాపోయారు. దీనిపై ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి సారించాలని వారు కోరారు. ఈ ఒక్క మార్కెటే కాదని, సిటీలో అన్ని కూరగాయల మార్కెట్‌లలో ఇదే పరిస్థితి ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం.

Find complete list of the test centres across the country

As of 23 March, India has reported a total of 415 confirmed cases. Seven people have died due to the virus, meanwhile, 24 have been reported to have recovered.

In order to ensure that anyone who experiences symptoms of the disease can be tested, the government of India along with the Indian Council of Medical Research and the Ministry of Health and Family welfare have opened 52 testing sites around the country.

They have also have been constantly updating the public with all relevant information during this pandemic. A list of helplines for all the states and union territories have been released that people can call and ask for any information regarding the virus.

Centre asks states to strictly impose lockdowns, six months jail warning for violators

The Centre has asked state governments to strictly enforce lockdowns and take legal action against those who violated the restrictions after confirmed cases of coronavirus jumped to 415 on Monday.

Senior government officials said there are provisions under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) to take action against people disobeying lockdown ruled under the Epidemics Diseases Act of 1897.

Any person disobeying any regulation or order made under this Act shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, which can lead to a jail term of six months, a fine of Rs 1000, or both.

Across India, 80 districts including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru were placed on complete lockdown on Sunday, which means only essential services will be allowed.

AIIMS OPD services to remain closed

In view of the increasing threat of the novel coronavirus, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) OPD services will remain closed till further notice, ANI reported. "All OPD services in All India Institute of Medical Sciences and all centres to remain closed till further orders."

Earlier, the Benaras Hindu University (BHU) on Sunday announced that the OPDs of Sir Sunderlal Hospital has been postponed from 23 March till further orders. "In view of COVID-19, all OPDs of Sir Sunderlal Hospital has been postponed from March 23 till further orders," said a BHU official.

Vehicles moving on road will be seized: Hyderabad City Police

In a tweet on Monday, Hyderabad City Police said that any vehicles such as taxis, cabs, auto rickshaws or passenger vehicles seen moving will be seized.

Govt of India constitutes high-level technical committee to battle Covid-19

The government of India has constituted a High Level Technical Committee of public health experts to guide the prevention and control of Covid-19. This committee is headed by Dr VK Paul (Member, NITI Aayog), and it has 21 members.
