Bank of England cuts interest rates to 0.25% amid coronavirus outbreak

The bank's monetary policy committee has taken the emergency step to cut the rate from 0.75% to 0.25% as a response to the economic shock of COVID-19. Meanwhile, Health Minister Nadine Dorries has tested positive for coronavirus, while Manchester City's Premier League match with Arsenal has been postponed.
