The Canadian prime minister announced on Friday that irregular border crossers will be sent back to US authorities upon reaching the Canadian border. The measure takes place amid the "unprecedented" circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Trudeau also announced that Canada-US border restrictions will take effect at midnight on Friday.
