Why was it named Corona in the beginning ...... May be Chinese have used it diplomatic power to influence the name ... Why did not WHO name it after the place when it has all possibility when it a Novel Virus ...

As you said Corona was the name given why did not they give the place it originated from ... They have changed the name or given the name COVID-19... Is my question ...

News follow avvali andhuke. WHO declined to call it Global Pandemic until late Jan and they did not name virus COVID-19. Who stopped WHO to not to estimate the pandemic that late? Meanwhile China built three temporary hospitals with 1000 beds each. Go check the timelines.

corona is the name of the virus and covid19 is the disease that's caused by corona virus

This is a just a Novel Corona Virus kada.... So that means there are other virus under the same umbrella the differentiation for this is just the year 19 in the COVID19 name ..
