appudu monthly salary as government officer is 300 rupees. so these rates are not cheap.. if you convert for inflation..

 

dosa rate is 45 ruppes idly 25 per plate, expensive only...

 

i rememebr in 2004 i ate dosa for 3 rupees very hygenie family owned small hotel. They where broke and offering 3 rupees dosa and 2 ruppes idly and 5 rupees poori, while colelge fee was 1 lakhs 30 k. Very cheap compared to inflation. dead cheap
