Yes of course . Lock down is for business not for self quarentine...lock down is not all about people going for grocery ..it's about people who live on the streets as well...and essential commodities..in USA even today flight travel and public transport is considered as essential commodity..while asking citizens no to go for unwarranted travel.

 

Before you say essential travel will spread virus ..that is how it is being spread where tens of thousands is labourers are gethering in one place for help..for example anand vihar bus station in  Delhi and spreading it for all..instead it could have been batches of 100 labourers travelling per special  bus for migrant labour's.

And thousands of people are locked down in birders across the states and they are spreading faster as they all accumulated in to one place instead of few hundreds per batches we have thousands at the border.

 

We tell ourselvs we are proud country air lifted thousands from war trodden middle East in 1990 from Kuwait 

 

While now we cant even just land lift our own labour workers between cities to vilages .what a pity and just spraying them chemicals wherever whenever we can?

Timeline is incorrect 

Looking at things objectively,

Trump visited in Feb and there was no community spreading at that point in time. the +ve cases in Feb were in Kerala - concealed their travel itinerary to Italy and some other tourists from Italy. All these cases were isolated immediately. The cases only started to increase in mid-march with 100 cases on the 15th and the government did act swiftly from then. 

I think it’s unfair to blame the government
