Gov. Gavin Newsom said Google officials will set up 100,000 WiFi access point to increase broadband internet across the state as California schools will remain closed through the school year. Many classrooms are expected to transition online. “We need more Googles,” Newsom said during a news conference. “This was a substantial enhancement.” The tech giant will also offer Chromebooks to students across the state, Newsom said.
