Hard to find words to express debt to NHS: Boris Johnson after being discharged

It is hard to find the words to express my debt to the NHS for saving my life, said British prime minister Boris Johnson after being discharged from a hospital where he was being treated for COVID-19. He also thanked the "millions and millions of people" who have been going through the hardship of self-isolation out of care for themselves and others. "Although the struggle is by no means over, we are making progress in this national battle," he said. The country has understood that if we the NHS is kept safe, it can overcome this challenge, he said. He thanked the doctors for taking "crucial decisions" and also the nurses who took care of him.

"We will win, because our NHS is the beating heart of the country," he said while appealing to people to stay at home and save lives.
