OPEC+ reaches historic deal to cut global oil production amid falling prices

After several days of meetings, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allied producers passed a record deal to cut 9.7 million barrels per day starting in May as global demand has dropped amid the coronavirus outbreak. Mexico agreed to cut 100,000 barrels per day after President Trump pledged to also reduce US production.
