ambedkar's views of Islam are as stupid as his views on Hinduism beyond the caste system.

wondering if muslims would be good compatriots in a democratic setup anta. He would be challenged if he said such stupid things now.

that HIndutva is trying too hard to own Ambedkar.. paapam

but is brazenly foisting false cases and arresting Ambedkar's grand daughter's husband for his activism.

it'd be funny if a man's life wasn't involved. but I guess hindutva doesn't care about lives. only power through propaganda and lies.

ambedkar was wrong on a lot of things.

his excessive belief in centralized governance of India. his stupid belief that partition should mean exchange of population to be successful, and his insistence that sanskrit should be national language.

also he was not a popular leader, who could win elections on his own.

so lets not get carried away. ambedkar is a brilliant and influential man in Indian politics. but he's flawed too.

haha.. inciting violence in koregaon through right wing mobs, and the state, and then arresting a dalit leader under trumped charges of maoism.

this is the respect RSS shows for dalits. It only wants dalits who unquestioningly accept the status quo and embrace hindutva. Not for those who seek self respect like Teltumbde.

anyone who seeks that is obviously a  sell out and maoist.

Of course not. “Jai Bhim” is primarily a slogan for anti-caste movement based on Ambedkar ideology, at least that’s how they started it. And there are caste based divisions and discrimination among Indian muslims. So this Jai Bhim and Jai Meem/Mim arrangement is more about vote bank only

ambedkar was not good enough to win elections. simple. there's no conspiracy there.

From years, we very well know that how Nehru was totally against any potential candidate in the party and wanted to sideline them in every aspect.

Nehru was one person who prevented Patel and Dr Ambedkar from becoming the President of Congress, he even refused to give any position for Ambedkar in his cabinet. It was between October 1951 and February 1952, the first Lok Sabha polls was spread over five months. When India became independent on August 15, 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru became its first Prime Minister. He formed the first union cabinet with members picked from various communities.

Just before the polls were to be held, Syama Prasad Mookerji (industries minister) broke away and set up the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Dr BR Ambedkar too formed the Scheduled Caste Federation which later became the Republican Party of India.

Another Congress leader Acharya JB Kriplani found the Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party and Ram Manohar Lohia and JP Narayan became the forces behind the Socialist Party.
However, Jawaharlal Nehru was elected as the PM and the Lok Sabha lasted its full term. There was no leader of Opposition then.

Nehru did not give a ticket to Dr Ambedkar in the first Lok Sabha elections, so he contested from his party Scheduled Caste Federation from the Bombay constituency, but Congress fielded Narayan Kajrolkar against Ambedkar, who won the elections. Most of the Congress Dalits were associated with the All India Depressed Classes League led by Jagjivan Ram.

Before the first elections were to be held in 1952, elections were held in July 1946 to the provincial legislatures of British India. This was Cabinet Mission’s ill-fated attempt to broker a deal between the Congress and Muslim League. These legislatures then elected 296 members to the Constituent Assembly. Ambedkar was among the 296 members originally elected to the Assembly in 1946 from the provinces. B. Shiva Rao’s first volume on the Framing of our Constitution has the original list of these members. Dr. Ambedkar’s name was listed as a representative of Bengal. Ambedkar was elected by the undivided Bengal legislature with five transferable votes.

Ambedkar was forced by Congress to contest elections from Bengal who did not have much connection with, because he lacked the requisite support in his home province of Bombay. Throughout the 1940s, Ambedkar and the Congress clashed bitterly over the issue of Scheduled Caste rights and representation. Ambedkar was against many policies of Congress which went against the interest of dalits in the country. Although he had lot of clashes with Nehru, Ambedkar worked closely with the Congress and helped them frame the constitution.

But under the partition plan, Ambedkar lost his Assembly seat because Bengal was divided and fresh elections for the Constituent Assembly were to be held in West Bengal. When it became apparent that Ambedkar could no longer continue in the Assembly, the Congress high command decided that he was too valuable to lose. M.R. Jayakar, a jurist from Bombay, had resigned from the Assembly, and his place was to have been filled by G.V. Mavlankar. But the Congress party decided it would rather have Ambedkar fill Jayakar’s place to ensure his continuance in the Assembly. on June 30, 1947, Rajendra Prasad wrote to B.G. Kher, the prime minister of Bombay, directing him to have Ambedkar elected to the Assembly on a Congress ticket.  Patel told Mavlankar that “all people here feel that Ambedkar’s attitude has changed and he has been a useful Member in the Committee.”

But Lord Mountbatten who was very influential on Nehru’s decision and the one who decided who should be included or excluded, expressed dissatisfaction about Ambedkar’s inclusion in the cabinet and questioned him on whose advice was Ambedkar included.

Infact RSS campaigned for Ambedkar very well,Nehru and Mountbatten want to defeat him at any cost

plenty of dalit leaders openly give a call to not convert to islam/xianity and weaken the fight against caste. eg. Thirumavalavan in TamilNadu.

ofcourse dalit-muslim arrangement is for votebank.. that's how electoral politics is played. you want dalits/muslims to throw in the towel and live like 2nd class citizens with no hope in the horizen for political representation and power?
